After a brief hiatus, IUPUI's Jordan H. and Joan R. Leibman Forum, a collaboration of the Herron School of Art and Design, the Kelley School of Business, and the Robert H. McKinney School of Law, is returning.
Karen E Laine, a businesswoman and attorney appearing on HGTV's mother-daughter home remodeling series "Good Bones," will deliver the 2021-22 Leibman Forum on Wednesday, Feb. 23, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in Eskenazi Hall's Basile Auditorium.
Dr. Laura Holzman, an associate professor of art history and museum studies and Public Scholar of Curatorial Practices and Visual Art, will moderate the discussion.
E Laine graduated with a Juris Doctor degree from the IU McKinney School of Law in 1992 and has worked as a prosecutor and criminal defense attorney throughout her legal career. She then went into the home renovation business, appearing on "Good Bones" with her daughter Mina. E Laine creates one-of-a-kind works of art and is involved in the overall design process of "Good Bones," which is now in its seventh season.
This event is free and open to the public, and there will be a reception following the discussion. Masks are required in indoor public spaces for the protection of the IU community and its visitors.

The Jordan H. and Joan R. Leibman Forum on the Legal and Business Environment of Art was established in 2004, with topics ranging from the documentary "The Art of The Steal" to a presentation by the U.S. Department of Treasury on engraving practices.
