Complement your IU Indianapolis degree with a Photography minor from Herron
Herron's 15-credit-hour minor in Photography is designed to give IU Indianapolis students the opportunity to study a variety of photographic mediums and associated professional practice skillsets from fine art digital printing and analog darkroom processes to professional studio lighting and professional digital workflows. Pairing the photography minor with another degree offers students an opportunity to advance their technical and creative skills for today’s creative careers. After a required introductory photography course, the minor offers substantial choices so students can craft a personalized course of study that best suits their needs.
No matter your major, professions today require critical thinking, creativity, and the ability to communicate visually. This minor will equip students with a strong foundation in photography that can augment their skills in many professions that include an aspect of communication through photographic media. Photography is a prevalent mode of communication in today's society, and the ability to use it effectively has many applications.
Only courses completed with grade of C (2.0) or better will count towards minor.
* Courses that satisfy the IU Indianapolis General Core requirement.
