Photography Minor

Requirements

15 credits required

Introductory Courses: 3 credits required - take 1 course from the following:

HER-K201 Introduction to Imaging (3 credits)

*HER-E201 Introduction to Photography

Core Courses: 12 credits required. Take four of the following courses, at least one of which must be a 200-level course.  Notes: Some courses have prerequisites. Not every course is taught in every semester.

HER-K202 Analog Photography (3 credits) (Prerequisite: K201 or E201)

HER-K211 Inkjet Workshop (3 credits) (Prerequisite: K201 or E201)

HER-K300 Time Based Art for Photography (3 credits) (Prerequisite: F131, K201, or E201)

HER-K301 Lighting for Photography (3 credits) (Prerequisite: K201 or E201)

HER-K302 Hybrid Approaches to Photography (3 credits) (Prerequisite:K301 or K303)

HER-K303 Color Photography (3 credits) (Prerequisite: K201 or E201)

HER-K330 Special Topics--varies by semester, may be repeated, prerequisites may vary (3 credits)


Residency requirement: A minimum of 6 credits must be in courses taken at Herron School of Art and Design.
