Priya Wittman received her M.F.A. in Visual Art with an emphasis in painting and drawing from Herron School of Art and Design. In 2010 she was awarded a summer fellowship at Ox-Bow School of Art in Saugatuck, Michigan. Wittman was also an artist in residence in 2013 at A.I.R. Studio Paducah in Paducah, Kentucky. She currently teaches painting and drawing at Herron School of Art and Design, and exhibits her work locally and regionally.

Wittman’s work playfully examines mundane and unassuming materials, ranging from traditional painting and drawing media to craft and hobby supplies. She accumulates and arranges these material experiments into installations that reflect both natural and psychological landscapes.
