About

Gurkan Maruf Mihci received his bachelor's degree in graphic design from Bilkent University and a master's degree in visual arts and visual communication design from Sabanci University, with a concentration in audio visual noise and glitch aesthetics. He holds a graduate certificate in culture and politics from Central European University, as well as a maker teacher certificate in robotics and 3-D printing. Mihci is currently pursuing a doctorate in design, technology and society at Ozyegin University on the topic of title sequences in Turkish fantastic movies.

Mihci has taught audiovisual communication design courses since 2009. His research interests include title sequence design and game design/art.
