At Herron, the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Ceramics is for students who want extensive studio experience that offers unique learning including clay and glaze formulation as well as firing kilns. The curriculum positions ceramics as an expressive artistic medium in society. It balances hands-on experience with materials and techniques in a context of historical tradition and contemporary making trends such as print on clay, slip casting, and 3-D printing.


This program meets the educational requirements as mandated by the National Schools of Art and Design (NASAD).
