Eva Roberts joined Herron as chair of the Visual Communication Design Department in fall of 2011. With over 20 years of design education experience, Eva has taught at the Museum School in Boston, MA, UMass /Dartmouth and is professor emeritus at East Carolina University School of Art and Design. Her career includes projects that range from wayfinding and environmental graphics to identity and publication design. While teaching at ECU, Eva spent 5 years as art director of North Carolina Literary Review, an academic journal honored for being among the first to bring contemporary design to this genre. Her design work can be seen in numerous books and journals and has been recognized by AIGA, Print Magazine, and American Center for Design among others. Eva earned undergraduate and graduate degrees in design from North Carolina State University College of Design.
