S201-S202
Sculpture I and II

3 credits		 Basic consideration of three-dimensional form and sculptural concepts. Exposure to various related materials, techniques, and processes—idea generation, development and critical thinking and problem solving skills. Prerequisite: Foundation year

S301-S302
Sculpture III and IV

3 or 6 credits		 Emphasis on creative expression, critical analysys and discourse, introduction to public and community based art, development of individual directions through a variety of sculptural media. Prerequisites: S201-S202, D201-D202

S401-S402
Sculpture V and VI

3 and/or 6 credits		 Concentrated, specialized study of sculpture, with emphasis on extensive research in pursuit of individual direction. Active participation in public and community based opportunities and commissions. Prerequisites: S301-S302

S403-S404
Individual Research in Sculpture I and II

3 credits		 Research devoted to the student’s own projects in sculpture.
