Students are responsible for understanding all requirements for admission and graduation and for completing responsibilities according to the required schedule.

Art Education / Admissions requirements

Please call School of Education Student Services for more information about programs and maintain close contact with your art education counselor.

Requirements for admission to the Art Education Program

  • Maintain a 3.0 GPA in the major, 2.8 GPA at all times and no lower than a C in any methods courses
  • Complete and pass all sections of the Pre-professional Skills Test prior to fall of sophomore year
  • Pass the advancement review in fall semester sophomore year
  • Apply to the Teacher Education Program, School of Education by February 1 of sophomore year

Requirements for admission to the Teacher Education Program

  • Have been advanced into the Art Education Program
  • Complete formal application to the Teacher Education Program according to the required timeline
