Federal Student Aid
The deadline for the receipt of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is March 10. Applicants do not have to be accepted to the academic program prior to submitting the FAFSA. The FAFSA application is available at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
Scholarships and Fellowships
All graduate students at Herron are evaluated to receive school-based financial assistance including Herron Graduate Student Scholarships and Herron Graduate Fellowships. Applicants do not need to apply for Herron Scholarships and/or Herron Graduate Fellowships. The admissions committee evaluates all completed applications to determine these merit-based forms of financial support.
What is the application fee?
You will be required to pay a $50 application fee via the Web when you submit the online application.
What is the tuition for the MFA program?
Tuition for residents of Indiana is based on the rate of $470 per credit hour. Tuition for non-residents of Indiana is based on the rate of $820 per credit hour.
The MFA degree in Visual Communication requires all students to complete 60 credit hours of required study at IUPUI.
What additional fees are charged by IUPUI?

Is financial aid available for graduate students?
Yes. All graduate students at Herron are evaluated for various kinds of financial aid including Teaching Assistantships and Herron Graduate Student Scholarships. You do not need to apply for Teaching Assistantships and/or Herron Graduate Student Scholarships. Your completed application will be used to determine these merit-based forms of financial aid. If you do not wish to be considered for these forms of financial aid, please clearly indicate this choice in your statement of intent.
