Graduate Studio Workshops

Offered since 2005, each workshop gives the participant a two-week intensive studio experience. Topics and instructors change each year to allow for a new experience for everyone. Special workshop features include individualized program of research, studio space and an exhibition of participants' artwork at the end of the two weeks. Do you have a BFA or BAE and want to further develop your creative side while earning three graduate credits?

Enroll in Herron’s summertime Graduate Studio Workshop!

You will work in your own studio space at Herron’s new home, Eskenazi Hall, earn three graduate credits in studio fine art and show your work in a special exhibit in the Marsh Gallery. Class format will be in tutorial method, with one-on-one meetings and group critiques. Participants will work individually with faculty guidance to explore their own path and focus. This intensive learning experience provides a special opportunity to explore and develop ideas.

The Graduate Workshops are designed for art teachers and practicing artists who are looking for continuing education in their field.

M-R: 9 am-4 pm; F: 9 am-12 pm

R511: Oil Painting Quick Start Studio
TR: 9:30 am-2:30 pm

Cost of the program and details:
$806.01 total program for 3 graduate credits
$50 application fee to IUPUI (if you are not already an IUPUI student)
The workshop will meet 4 1/2 days a week beginning June 23 through July 3, 2008.

Prerequisites include an undergraduate degree in art education or fine art. The workshop is not open to current Herron School of Art and Design BFA or BAE students.
