Herron artists gained solid footing on Super Bowl home “TURF”

Special guests of Herron got a sneak peak at “TURF,” an art exhibit in old City Hall in downtown Indianapolis, three days before its opening on Jan 13. The installation project was spearheaded by IDADA—the Indianapolis Downtown Artists and Dealers Association—in conjunction with the city’s plans for Super Bowl 46. Abbey Chambers, IDADA president and academic advisor and associate faculty member in art history at Herron, said “Seeing the project go from paper to real life was amazing.”

IDADA TURF has ties to Herron

The Indianapolis Downtown Artist and Dealers Association is presenting TURF: IDADA Art Pavilion. The old Indianapolis City Hall building at the corner of Alabama and Ohio streets will become the TURF: IDADA Art Pavilion, a public space where selected artists will display installations of their works from January 14th through February 5th. The event will be free to the public and hosting Indianapolis Public School visits on certain days.
