Adjunct Instructor Jason Bord (M.F.A. in sculpture,’11) has installed a new sculpture at Southwest Health Center, 1522 W. Morris St., in Indianapolis. He was assisted by Mike Angel, a student from his Intro to Sculpture for Non Majors class. "It was nice having a student and close friend assist in the installation process," Bord said.

“We have a very active community board. They decided to make a donation of outdoor art for our new facility,” said. Martha Wedemeyer, clinical practice manager for the Center. The totem-like structures sit in a circular drive in front of the building. Wedemeyer said Board President Toby York liked the idea of tying the sculpture to Bord’s nearby work at the Harding St. interchange of I-70, which was developed as a part of the “Greener Welcome” project that provided sculpture and landscaping on the interstate between the airport and downtown in 2010.
